The storage of goods in private warehouses are restricted to the producers who possess and operate these warehouses. Because of that, warehouses are usually tailored to cater to the nature of the goods that are being deposited.

Unlike private warehouses, public ones are open to the general public and there is no restriction as to who is permitted to deposit their goods.

GOVERNMENT

While any organisation may store their goods in government warehouses, they are owned, operated and regulated by the government

BONDED

These warehouses are owned, operated and regulated by both the government and private organisations. Imported goods, which import tax has not been paid, would be stored in bonded warehouses till the tax is paid.

COOPERATIVE

Co-operative societies own, operate and regulate these warehouses. Cost-effective rates for warehousing are given to the members of their society.
